New Outpatient Programs

New Outpatient Programs

2016 has been a year of growth and change at River Ridge in both Minnetonka and Burnsville as we move toward a strengthened
Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment Model. As of September 1st, we are rolling out our newly expanded outpatient programs at both locations.

Recovery & Stability

As we understand that the first year in recovery is difficult to navigate, we are extending the services that we can provide to help maintain recovery and stability.

• Clients can stay within our programs now for a longer period of time with more focused programming to be able to address their needs at various stages of recovery, address their mental health, and stay with the same counselor for as long as they would like, even after they have completed their COD outpatient programming

• Clients have access to psychiatric services while in treatment for medication prescribing and monitoring

• Not only do they have access to Diagnostic assessments but other psychiatric testing as needed in addition to both individual and family or relational counseling
On top of these services, clients are also going to be able to access a la carte services soon, such as trauma-specific groups and more.

Our programs will continue to utilize our Helping Men Recover (HMR) and Helping Women Recover (HWR) curricula as well as adding additional evidenced based practices into the work that we do, and are named for the cornerstones of what we strive to help our clients do: to explore their needs and desire for change, to grow in their recovery and self-knowledge, and to be empowered to heal and know that they can live a healthy recovery-based life.

Outpatient Programs

Our new outpatient programs are broken down into the following and will be offered in both a day and evening format:

Phase 1 – Exploration

In this stage of treatment we help clients to stabilize medications and mental health, grasp the concepts and understand their Co-Occuring diagnoses better, and complete a recovery wellness plan. We address understanding co-occurring disorders, managing cravings, identifying and staying safe in high risk situations, and what is a support network and how to build and utilize this resource.

Phase 2 – Growth

Strengthening and adding to their recovery and relapse prevention plan and tool-kit, clients in this phase will begin work on DBT based COD interventions and skill work to help with emotional regulation and distress tolerance, clients will begin to use and participate in our HMR/HWR curricula in this phase as well as starting to work on Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP).

Phase 3 – Empowerment

Clients will continue to use our MBRP programming, individual and relational therapy, attain and utilize additional DBT based skills in order live their best lives.

Each phase is accompanied by individualized treatment planning, case management and support by our staff. We have made a number of changes to our programs and would love to have you stop by, learn more about our new programs, meet our staff and connect.

Recovery is always possible and we are always here to help.
