Discovery Program
There are three levels of the Discovery Program classes:
- Discovery I (6 hours)
- Discovery II (12 hours)
- Discovery III (18 or 24 hours)
Discovery I Program is a 6-hour educational drug and alcohol awareness course.
Basic drug and alcohol education only. Includes information on the Brian Chemistry of Addiction and Stress Management. The focus is understanding long and short term effects of drug and alcohol use.
- Eagan location two Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
Discovery II Program is a 12-hour, more intensive drug and alcohol awareness program.
Suitable for someone who needs more than basic drug and alcohol education. Personal harmful consequences are explored as well as personal evaluation of choices. Focus is on harmful consequences of drug and alcohol use, and non-chemical coping skills.
- Eagan location meets four Wednesday evenings from 6pm – 9pm.
Discovery III Program is an 18 or 24 hour intensive drug and alcohol awareness program.
This is an extended assessment to see if treatment is needed. The focus is on personalizing the education received from Discovery I & II programs, and includes individual assessments and recommendations.
- This program could consist of 5-6 Wednesdays from 6pm – 9pm with a possible Saturday class.
You do need a current substance use disorder/ rule 25 assessment to participate in this class.
